Precision layer wound is like a spool of thread, each revolution is next to the other, which feeds better and provides a more consistent wire feed rate.
This is an exceptional value and works in any MIG welder with a 2" diameter spindle, such as the Lincoln SP135, MillerMatic 135, Hobart Handler 135, and just about every other small welder out there. .030" diameter wire is excellent for 18 gauge steel, and, depending on your welder, will allow you to weld material up to around 5/16" to 3/8", depending on your application.
