Description

This is a 2 map set which shows where many of the homeowners lived in New Britain, Hartford County, Connecticut in 1869. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps, please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of New Britain. Due to large areas covered and the population dense sections, many of the names are quite small.
The first map shows the entire Town of New Britain. (first 2 pictures)
The second map shows the Village or center of New Britain. (3rd picture)
Truly a great matching set. Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown.   Some of the surnames which are printed are Booth, Goodrich, Brown, Hart, Smith, Andrews, Sullivan, Judd, Bronson, Jackson, Dolan, Odell, Bowman and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the maps are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
