  • Condition: Up for auction is Ondine perfume by Suzanne Thierry in the box. Although the perfume still appears sealed and not used, I am listing the condition as used, since the box has a small penny sized tear on the box top and this is from 1954. Glass bottle is in excellent condition, never opened and feeling the glass it feels like silk. Sized as 1/2 fl oz, half of the contents is gone thru evaporation. Bottle still appears sealed.     Description
    Up for auction is Ondine perfume by Suzanne Thierry in the box. This fragrance was introduced in 1954.  This perfume is a floral accord and was developed as an inspiration from the actress Audrey Hepburn.  Ms. Hepburn won a Tony for her Broadway performance in “Ondine” co-starring with her future husband, Mel Ferrer.  Ondine a water sprite, falls in love and marries a mortal.
    The original black and white cardboard box is in fair condition.  At the top of the box, there is a small penny sized tear in the top.  There is also some wear on the edging around the top of the box.
    The clear glass or crystal bottle does not appear to have been opened.  However, due to the age, ½ of the fragrance has evaporated.  If you smell the neck of the bottle, you get a very faint whiff of the fragrance.  I have had this perfume before, and I thought it smelled divine!
    Bottle sits on a black silk like fabric on the box base
    Underside of the box base is good, and shows the net contents of the bottle is ½ fl oz.
    The crystal bottle has a wonderful silky feel to it.  The black and gold oval paper with Thierry’s name is in great condition.

    The clear glass stopper is round, with a hole in the center and ridging all around
    Height of the bottle is: roughly 3 3/8 inches tall
    Despite the age, this is still a fantastic parfum!
