Description

This is a map which shows where everyone lived in the Town of Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut in 1867. Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, it's 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.
The pictures provided show only a portion of each actual map.
Contained on the map are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Stratford. There is actually 2 side by side inset maps of Stratford shown, the large Stratford Town map and a map which shows the central or village area. Due to limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the map may not be shown. Please check out the pictures provided for better detail.
Some of the features shown on this map are the Housatonic River, Lordship and Nichols Farms. Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Murphy, Coley, Peck, Booth, Wilcox, Curtis, Austin, Wells, Judson, Smith, Hubbell, Riley  and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools,  streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!
