    Description

Here is a vintage fragrance bottle that is missing its label. The bottom of the bottle says "PLASSARD" and "PARIS - FRANCE," so that is all we know.
The bottle is 3 and 5/8ths inches tall, 2 inches wide from left to right, and about 7/8ths of an inch thick from front to back.
Please be aware that even though I have had this bottle for years, I've never been able to open it.
The stopper is firmly stuck in place.
The color of the perfume in this bottle is a dark reddish brown under average lighting conditions. When a bright light shines on the bottle, the perfume is a brighter orange color, much like cognac. Plassard made about 35 different fragrances in the late 1800s and the first half of the 1900s, so it's hard to say which fragrance this bottle contains. It's also possible that the bottle doesn't even contain the original contents. The stopper is sitting
so tightly that there is no fragrance emanating from the neck of the bottle, so I can't even tell you how the fragrance smells, much less figure out its name.
When I hold the bottle up to a bright light and tilt it slowly, I see some dust or sediment swirling around, so either the bottle has been used, or the perfume has formed particulates, which sometimes happens with very old perfumes, even if they haven't been opened. (See sixth photo.) A
ll the same, it's a gorgeous bottle that displays beautifully, and it will be a nice addition to a vintage perfume bottle collection even if you can never open it and test the fragrance.
